Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply when a visitor uses Lanier County Busted Mugshots or a search tool placed on its pages. Anyone who does not accept them should stop using the service. The terms govern this private reference operation only. The Lanier County Sheriff's Office, Lanier County Jail, courts, GDC, federal locators, news outlets, and outside search providers set separate rules for their own systems.

Lanier County Busted Mugshots is privately operated and has no government affiliation. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and neither the publisher nor a partner acting for it provides an FCRA-covered service. Information from these pages may not be used for an FCRA-covered purpose.

Private Reference Service

These pages point visitors toward the Lanier County Sheriff's Office arrest reports, the jail and booking-record request path, Georgia court access, and GDC information. The sheriff's office is led by Charles N. “Nick” Norton, but this service is not part of that office or any other government agency. It stores no official jail, court, or government record and cannot confirm custody, confirm a release, or submit a government request for a visitor.

A search box may connect a visitor with an independent provider. That provider controls its own results, prices, terms, and data practices.

Acceptable Use

Visitors must use the pages lawfully, honestly, and with respect for other people. They must not:

  • Break the law or help another person break it.
  • Use information to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or harm someone.
  • Use the pages or their results for a prohibited FCRA-covered purpose.
  • Try to enter a server, account, partner system, or protected area without permission.
  • Run a bot, scraper, or automated collection process without written authorization.
  • Interfere with the service or make access harder for other visitors.

FCRA Boundary

Lanier County Busted Mugshots is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It does not prepare consumer reports or provide a service for an FCRA-covered decision. Users agree not to use any page, result, or linked search output for:

  • Employment decisions, including hiring, firing, or promotion.
  • Tenant, housing, or residential decisions.
  • Credit or insurance decisions.
  • Licensing, permits, or government-program eligibility decisions.
  • Any other purpose regulated by the FCRA.

Outside Links and Providers

The pages may link to sheriff and police offices, jail reports, court portals, corrections agencies, federal locators, news sources, archives, legal resources, and outside search services. A link is a route to another operator, not an endorsement of every statement or service at the destination. The publisher does not control another operator's content, privacy practices, accuracy, fees, security, or uptime. Review the destination's terms before using it.

As-Is Information

All pages and linked material are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that the service or a destination will be:

  • Accurate, complete, current, or free of omissions.
  • Available without interruption or delay.
  • Free from errors, harmful code, or security weaknesses.
  • Complete or correct in the results returned by a partner tool.

Custody status and public records can change without notice. Nothing here is an official statement from a sheriff's office, jail, court, corrections agency, or other government body.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher, its owners, contractors, and partners are not liable for loss, harm, cost, or damage arising from access to, use of, or reliance on these pages, linked resources, search tools, or information described there.

Indemnification

A user agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the publisher, its owners, contractors, and partners from claims, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from that user's use of the pages, violation of these terms, or unlawful conduct.

Intellectual Property

Unless a source is identified as belonging to another party, the text, graphics, logos, layout, and code used for Lanier County Busted Mugshots belong to the publisher or the stated rights holder. Copying, redistributing, selling, displaying, or modifying that material requires written permission except where applicable law allows it. Government and third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and terms.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. A revision takes effect when it is posted on the pages. Continued use after posting indicates acceptance of the version then available.

Access May Be Revoked

The publisher may limit, suspend, or block access to any part of the service, with or without notice, for any lawful reason, including suspected misuse, disruption, or a breach of these terms.

Georgia Law Applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, subject to any mandatory rule that requires a different result. A conflict-of-law rule does not by itself select another state's law.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The affected language will be narrowed or adjusted only as much as needed to make it enforceable.

Questions About Use

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact Us page. Questions about custody, a booking record, a court case, or a government photograph must go to the agency that holds the official record.
