Information You Send
Search Queries
A name, place, or other term entered in a search widget is transmitted to the third-party provider that runs the widget. Lanier County Busted Mugshots does not maintain its own search-history log for those terms. Once the query leaves the page, the provider's privacy notice and retention practices govern it.
Messages and Requests
If a visitor emails the publisher or sends a message through a contact channel, the publisher receives the message, the reply address, and the details needed to respond. Those records may be kept for the exchange, service administration, or a related follow-up. They are not intentionally shared outside the publisher's operations except as described below or when a valid legal requirement applies.
Technical Data and Cookies
Ordinary web delivery and security tools may create technical records such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- Referring site, when supplied by the browser
- Date and time stamps
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Cookies or similar tools may support basic functions, measure visits, help diagnose errors, or support analytics and advertising activity. A browser can block or delete cookies, although a disabled cookie may change how a feature behaves. Provider-set cookies remain subject to the provider's own notice.
Uses of Information
Information under the publisher's control may be used for ordinary operation and service support, including to:
- Keep the pages available, responsive, and protected from misuse.
- Pass a search query to the partner selected by the widget.
- Understand which Lanier County reference pages are useful.
- Diagnose faults, answer messages, and correct technical problems.
- Support advertising that may be selected for broad interest categories.
Other Websites and Their Rules
Links may lead to the Lanier sheriff, Lakeland Police Department, the jail directory, court access, state corrections, federal locators, archives, local news, or an outside search tool. Following a link starts an interaction with another operator. Its privacy notice, cookies, collection practices, and security controls apply to that visit, not this notice.
Advertising partners may also observe activity across more than one website for measurement or interest-based advertising. That processing occurs on the partner's systems and is not controlled by the Lanier County Busted Mugshots publisher.
Who May Receive Information
The publisher does not sell personal information as a general practice. Information may nevertheless be available to these categories when their services are used or when a lawful demand requires disclosure:
- Search partners that process terms entered in a widget.
- Analytics providers that measure page use and performance.
- Advertising networks and the vendors that support their delivery or measurement.
- Law-enforcement or other government bodies acting under a valid legal order or process.
Security Has Limits
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information the publisher controls. Security is a best-effort practice, not a guarantee. No internet-connected service can promise that data will never face an incident, mistake, interception, or unauthorized access.
People Under 18
The pages are intended for adults, and the publisher does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or young person who believes a message or other information was submitted may contact the publisher and ask that the submission be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held by the publisher.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete a message or other personal information where deletion is permitted.
- Object to or opt out of certain uses or processing where that choice is available.
A request should identify the information at issue and use the publisher's contact route. Requests about a sheriff, jail, court, GDC, BOP, ICE, or search-partner record must be sent to the organization that holds that record. This notice does not give the publisher control over another operator's database.
Policy Changes
This notice may change when the publisher's practices, service providers, or legal duties change. The revised text will be posted on this page and will apply to later use after it is posted. Continued use after a change means the updated notice governs future interactions.
